MicroClus Project (SPUJA)
Development of power-flow models for microgrid clusters(Ref. PID2021-123633OB-C31) |
Subproject of the University of Jaen (SPUJA) supported by Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, Agencia Estatal de Investigación, FEDER, UE (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/ FEDER, UE)
Call for Knowledge Generation Projects (2021). Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Duration: 3 years (2022-2025)
Objective of the Subproject (SPUJA)
The subproject will study the development of power-flow models of microgrid clusters. Specifically, it will undertake:1.Development of Power-Flow (PF) models of microgrid clusters (MGCs), suitable for steady-state analysis of the system, and study the application of advanced tools for PF, optimal power flow (OPF) and continuation power flow (CPF) as applied to MGCs.
2.The study of the optimal operation of MGCs in both grid-connected and islanded modes, highlighting the importance of optimal coordination among the agents involved.
3.The analysis of the optimal planning of MGCs in both situations; from an already planned grid thus forming the clusters posteriorly (a posteriori) or conceiving the partitioning of an upscale grid into clusters at planning stages of the system (a priori).
4.The analysis of the integration of MGCs in energy markets, studying optimal bidding strategies and their impact in existing energy markets.
